Physical Therapist/Middleville Location Clinic Manager
Jonathan is originally from Haslett, Michigan. He earned a bachelor’s degree in human biology from Michigan State University. He continued his education at the University of Michigan-Flint where he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011. Jonathan spent his first two years as a PT practicing outpatient neuromuscular rehab treating patients with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, post-stroke impairments, and other neuromuscular disorders. Jonathan joined First Rehab & Sport PT in January 2015. He currently works full-time at the Middleville location, providing both patient care and serving as the clinic manager. Unfortunately, in January 2017, Jonathan got firsthand experience as a First Rehab physical therapy patient after tearing his ACL and meniscus while playing basketball. He understands the challenges of going through rehab after such an injury. Jonathan has earned his SFMA-level one certification, in addition to becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). His current interest in the field has led him to take courses focused on recent advancements in pain science. Jonathan lives in Caledonia with his wife Casey and their son Milo. Outside of work, Jonathan is an avid sports fan, most passionately in regards to Michigan State football and basketball. In addition, he loves to participate in a variety of sports including basketball, golf, and tennis.
