Lindsay Vertalka

Lindsay and her husband Jon (First Rehab Director of Operations) are both originally from Grand Ledge, Michigan. Lindsay is a physical therapist and also serves as the clinic manager of the Hastings location. Lindsay earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences in 1999 and her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University in 2001. Lindsay started her career as a school-based PT in the Calhoun and Eaton Intermediate School Districts, working with children with physical and cognitive disabilities. In 2008, Lindsay began working at First Rehab as a staff physical therapist. Five years later, she and her husband became owners of First Rehab in 2013.

Lindsay has a particular interest working with patients who have chronic pain and/or Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). She is especially passionate about utilizing a Biopsychosocial Approach to pain management. Lindsay is SFMA- level one certified. She has additional training in vestibular rehab, therapeutic neuroscience education, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, and kinesiology taping. Lindsay enjoys spending time with her family traveling, going to the beach, fishing, berry picking, gardening, playing with her two English labs, and enjoying family cottages on Gun Lake and Lake Missaukee in Michigan.
