Owner/Physical Therapist/Hastings Clinic Manager
Lindsay and her husband Jon (First Rehab Director of Operations) are both originally from Grand Ledge, Michigan. Lindsay is a part-time physical therapist and also serves as the clinic manager of the Hastings location.
Lindsay earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences in 1999 and her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University in 2001. Lindsay started her career as a school-based PT in the Calhoun and Eaton Intermediate School Districts, working with children with physical and cognitive disabilities for six years. She also worked with children in the outpatient setting for a number of years, helping kids with Down Syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebral Palsy, torticollis, idiopathic toe walking, and generalized developmental delays. In 2008, she began working for the founder of First Rehab and has been providing outpatient-based physical therapy services including a wide variety of diagnoses ranging from Parkinson’s disease to total joint replacements.
Lindsay has a particular interest working with patients who have chronic pain and/or Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. She is especially passionate about pain science and utilizing a Biopsychosocial approach to pain management. Lindsay is SFMA- level one certified. She has additional training in vestibular rehab, therapeutic neuroscience education, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, kinesiology taping, idiopathic toe walking and treating children who have sensory integration dysfunction.
Lindsay and her husband Jon have lived in Hastings, Michigan for over 20 years. They enjoy watching their son Braden and daughter Audrey play a variety of sports. Lindsay enjoys traveling, going to the beach, gardening, photography, playing with her two English labrador retrievers, and spending time with her family at cottages on Gun Lake and Lake Missaukee in Michigan.
