Nicole is originally from Rockford, MI. She attended Central Michigan University obtaining her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Clinical Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Central Michigan University where Nicole chose to be a part of the unique satellite campus at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, MI. During her time at CMU she was involved in “Move For Health!”, an exercise class focused on getting those with Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological conditions moving! She also participated in conducting a research study to determine the effects of exercise on those with Parkinson’s Disease.
Clinical rotation experiences included outpatient rehabilitation at Sparrow Hospital, inpatient rehabilitation on the stroke team at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital, and acute care/outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation at Allegan General Hospital.
Following graduation Nicole worked in outpatient orthopedics before becoming a travel physical therapist giving her experience in a number of different settings including acute care, ICU care, subacute rehabilitation, skilled nursing facility, long term care, adult living facilities as well as several outpatient facilities.
Nicole has always had a passion for neurological conditions and is currently certified in LVST BIG and PWR! Training. When Nicole isn’t working, she enjoys being outdoors hiking, camping, watching sports, spending time with family and friends, exercising, traveling, and escaping to the beautiful upper peninsula of Michigan!
